SCBI Terms & Conditions

SCBI’s Terms & Conditions and Cancellation Policy are applicable to all current and new Course registrations. Fees and charges as well as refund policies are subject to change without notice and will apply to registrants from the time that the policy has been adopted.

Standard Registration Terms & Conditions

SCBI aims to provide high quality courses at an affordable cost.

Full payment must be made before commencement of Course, unless prior arrangement with SCBI has been made.

For onsite Training, a 50% deposit at least 4 weeks prior to the Training must be made.

Payment of Fees

SCBI does not authorize any other organisation or agent to collect any fees and charges on its behalf. Registrants must pay Course fees directly to SCBI as per the instructions included in the Course Registration Forms issued by SCBI.

Cancellation Policy – Course or Symposium

Notification of cancellation for a Course or Symposium must be made in writing to SCBI and directed to info@scbi.net.au, as detailed on the Course Registration Form. You are responsible for ensuring SCBI receive your written request. SCBI will reply with a written acknowledgement.

Refunds for cancellation will be calculated based on the date of the receipt of the notice of withdrawal and will be as follows:

  • More than 4 weeks before commencement date: 75% of course fees paid
  • More than 2 weeks before commencement date: 50% of course fees paid
  • Up to one week prior to commencement of course: No refund

Substitution of registrant is acceptable without incurring additional costs. Notification of substitution must be made in writing to info@scbi.net.au prior to the Course.

Notwithstanding the above refund rates, in all circumstances a minimum amount of $500 shall be deducted from the refund amount to cover SCBI’s administrative expenses.

Non attendance without notice will result in the full Course fee being charged. Any refunds requested due to personal circumstances will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

Applications to defer Course attendance to a later date will only be considered in cases where the registrant suffers incidences, critical illness, injury or misfortune. These will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

Refunds will be made within 14 working days from the date of receipt of the notice of withdrawal.

Cancellation Policy – Onsite Training

Notification of cancellation for Onsite Training must be made in writing to SCBI and directed to info@scbi.net.au. You are responsible for ensuring SCBI receive your written request. SCBI will reply with a written acknowledgement.

If you cancel Onsite Training at any time a $1500 fee which forms part of your deposit will not be reimbursed. Should any non-refundable expenses be incurred by SCBI on your behalf that account for more than $1500, you are obligated to pay the additional cost. Any remaining balance of the Onsite Training deposit will be refunded to you.

Refunds will be made within 30 working days from the date of the notice of cancellation.

Rescheduling Onsite Training is permitted with 14 days notice.

Once the deposit is paid, if you reschedule with less than 14 days advance notice, a $500 reschedule fee will be charged. The rescheduled Onsite Training must take place within 12 months of the originally scheduled Onsite Training. If the Onsite Training does not take place within 12 months from the originally scheduled date, all deposits, fees and remaining balance will be forfeited.

As SCBI reserves your Onsite Training dates for your use, thus preventing us from scheduling other registrants on those dates, rescheduling is allowed on a one time basis only.

SCBI Cancellation or Reschedule of a Course or Symposium or Onsite Training

SCBI reserves the right to cancel its Courses or Symposiums at any time.

If SCBI cancels a Course or Symposium due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, registrants are entitled to a full refund of the Course fees, or fees can be credited towards a future Course based upon availability.

SCBI reserves the right to reschedule its Courses at any time due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. Rescheduled Courses will be arranged at an alternate time that is convenient for the registrant. SCBIwill endeavor to provide as early advice as possible of any Course changes.

SCBI is not responsible for travel arrangements, fees or expenses incurred by the registrant as a result of such cancellation or reschedule.

Should SCBI cancel or reschedule a Course or Seminar in which you are registered, you will be contacted at the email address you provided in your registration. Please ensure you provide a valid address that you can be contacted at.

For further information relating to our Cancellation and Reschedule policies please contact us at info@scbi.net.au or call +61 3 9013 7224.
